Jack “Papa Smurf” McGrath age 76, of Waterford Works, NJ, passed away on Saturday, March 23, 2024 at the Veteran s Administration Hospital in Philadelphia, PA. Beloved husband of the late Roxanne. Devoted father of John R. McGrath (Kim Dailyda) of Atco, NJ, Patrick Reilly (Linda) of Waterford Works, NJ and Michael Reilly (Cathy) of Hammonton, NJ. Proud grandfather of Christopher Reilly, Tyler Reilly, Morgan Reilly, Scott Reilly, John Paul McGrath, Kaeli McGrath and Brayden McGrath. Dear brother of Dennis McGrath, Joseph Gallagher and Rosemary Carr. Jack is also survived by his daughter-in-law, Annemarie McGrath.
Jack was born in Philadelphia, PA and has resided in Waterford Works since 1978. He proudly served in the US Navy during Vietnam. He worked as a Refinery Operator for Sunoco Oil. He enjoyed spending time on his Harley and relaxing on his boat at Lighthouse Point Marina with his family & friends. Jack was a loyal member of the Legion Riders in Gibbsboro, NJ and spent many hours with his friends at the VFW Post 1616 in Williamstown, NJ.
His viewing will be held on Monday, April 1, 2024 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm with a prayer service beginning 8:00pm at the LeRoy P. Wooster Funeral Home and Crematory, 441 White Horse Pike, Atco, NJ. Relatives and friends are asked to meet at the funeral home on April 2, 2024, Tuesday morning at 9:30am to participate in a funeral procession to the Brigadier General Wm. C. Doyle Veterans Cemetery for the interment and Military Honors which will begin at 11:30am.

With much sorrow our association announces the passing of past board president and D-dock resident Charles Gabage. Charlie loved the marina and being with friends at the shore. Our thoughts are with Judy and his family. Feb 2022
